Oh how I loved this family. They brought it to the table. Bottom line … this photography gig is harder than I thought it would be:) And there have been many days lately that I think it’s not for me. Then I go over to the rockin Ransom house and leave filled with so much love for my job that it will keep me going for another 2 years at least, lol.
Here is why…….

So here’s the deal. I was hired my Robyn to take pictures of her kids (on the right) and her sister’s daughter on the left who was in town visiting from England. No pressure there! They were darling. Robyn and her sister were a force to be reckoned with. They laughed and laughed, and pinched and laughed, and then would say something mean about getting old or nose hairs and then would hug and laugh some more.
I love this series of them …

and here is one for their mom and dad to put on the mantle:) Merry Christmas!

It’s fascinating and so cool to think Tiffany will be looking at these pictures in England today. I loved Harrods. I was pregnant with my first when we were there. My husband and I went on a (heehaw we’re from Ohio) fish and chips tour while we were there:) Makes me laugh.

I love this shot so much. It’s symbolic to me. It screams happy strong mother. I love how just she is looking at the camera. I love the two kids playing in the back:) Love.
More laughing and playing and loving.

One of these better be really really really BIG in your house next time I see you (and big is not 8×10).

Thanks you Ransom Fam. Your house is filled with a lot of love and peace and crazy, and I was loving that combination. It completely filled me up and then I came back home to my baby birds with their beaks wide open, lol.
Okay – Here is Sarah’s exact words in an email to me when talking about her two boys …… “they are slow to warm and my fear is that they will sit frozen during the session”.
Haaaa! This is adorable little Dexter who was far from frozen. I was a hot mess chasing after him:)

I love these two shots of the family.
How cute are these boys? Eli was so sweet and funny. He tried so hard to give Dexter some love and hug him and hold his hand, but Dexter had plans of his own that didn’t include any love from Eli:)
I love these two moments that I caught –

Umm – how about that shot on the right? It’s my new favorite for today.
Look away if you like everything perfectly centered and don’t understand heads being cut off. I LOVE this shot.
Sarah – thank you for sharing your family with me. I had so much fun. I’m so glad I got to capture this active, busy, curious, dirty, sweaty time in their lives. I’ll be in touch soon.

I love my job. I love taking pictures of nice kids. Justin greeted me with a hug and said goodbye to me with a hug. Now c’mon. There is something so fun about taking pictures of nice, well mannered, polite and charming seniors. Justin’s mom is a friend of mine and I could tell it was emotional for her. Sometimes I can see what is behind me in the reflection of my camera and right at the beginning of the shoot I could see her smiling with her hand over her heart. I feel so honored to be a part of something so personal:) Now Justin could have cared less, lol. But he hung in there and did everything I said and tolerated his mom fussing over him.
Hello handsome boy in the shirt mommy forced you to wear:) I love these.

He’s going to be a meteorologist when he grows up. I thought he said urologist. Made me snort.
Sometimes my favorite pictures are the ones that are the least planned. I was in the process of standing up, I looked over at him and he and his mom where laughing about something so I just shot off a few from my hip. The others don’t even have him in it – but I caught the one on the left and I love it. It is him. The one on the right is just plain huminahumina.
Justin – you rock.

I would love to be a fly on the wall while Ellen is looking at these pictures. She doesn’t have a clue how naturally beautiful she is. She truly doesn’t. She was super laid back with her crazy blue eyes and completely comfortable in front of the camera – yet she hates pictures of herself. When she told me this she was dead serious. A smile was no where to be found. She meant it. Little did she know she would light a fire under my rear:)
If you haven’t guessed by now she rows. She rows with oars that are about 36 feet long. A little challenging for the photographer. These are her oars:)

Ellen – if you don’t like the picture above then you need to go into counseling.

We found this cute little patch of ferns. There are 3 pictures of you in these that I adore. Tell me you like this Ellen! lol
Love this!
Ellen and Mary, thank you. I had a great time hopping around with you guys.
Ellen, you have the perfect sprinkle of tomboy in you. I like that. Thank you for tolerating me:)
Now see that little comment box below – I am going to hold your disc until you tell me you like these. For real. At least tell me your favorite. I’m waiting.
