I am a Columbus based photographer and welcome to my blog.

I love to photograph babies in the tummy, babies out of the tummy, kids being good, kids being bad, kids with special needs, kids with fur, couples in love, families being themselves and seniors in between text messages :)

I have a fun and carefree style that I think you will be very comfortable with. Of course I love to take the classic picture where everyone is looking at the camera with a perfect smile but what I really love to catch is the real "in between" moments. The candid moments that you will cherish forever.

This is my photo blog where I will share favorite images from recent sessions and blab about my interests and family.

Thanks for visiting my site and taking a look. I really appreciate it.

THE BROWN FAMILY | columbus, ohio family photographer

LyAnne contacted me early December to try and set up a session with her family – but because of crazy schedules and the crazy holidays it was really hard to touch base. So finally the day after Christmas she sends me an email telling me that the only day they had available was THAT one. I had to be on the road in 3 hours to my parents house in Dayton to celebrate. Not one gift was wrapped. Not one child was bathed. Not one appetizer was made, and people, if I didn’t get my buffalo chicken dip made somebody was gonna get hurt. I had been thinking about it for days:)

I literally paused and thought there is no way. NO WAY. It would have been so easy to say no. But for some reason every bone in my body and fiber in my being told me to do it.

I just left Brad to pick up all the pieces. The cream cheese was smokin’ on the stove and presents were in PILES. Missing tape. Disorganized. MESS of a house. Dirty, tired kids. Dirty, tired husband. And he was so supportive, KISSED me goodbye and said he’d handle it – and he did – and he always does. LOVE HIM.

For starters her older boys Chris and Nate are Marines. Both heading back the following day. One to Japan. One to North Carolina. Can’t imagine. They were so much fun.

Then her other two boys went to school and rode the bus with my girls! Weird.

Arielle, her one and only daughter was precious. Literally passed around like a princess at the end so that everyone could have their pics taken with just her – so funny – except for the 8th grader, lol.

Enjoy the pics. I’ll say it time and time again. This is what happens when you come to your session with tons of love and no reservations. I can’t take pics of things I can’t see. This family had perspective. They were so comfortable hugging and touching and loving. Total love funfest.
