Pick a Casual Outfit

* this is your plain and simple outfit but also the one that says a lot about you.

* pick your favorite t-shirt and add your favorite pair of jeans with your favorite jewelry

* and make sure one of your outfits has pockets because they give you somewhere to put your hands! Super important.

Pick a Layered Outfit

*  layers are your friend

* pick an outfit and add a sweater or your favorite jean or leather jacket on top

* it’s also fun to layer shirts or add a scarf like the examples below

Pick a Dressy Outfit

* Lots of girls wear dresses and look fabulous!

Accessories

Jewelry, scarves, rings, bracelets, earrings, necklaces and sunglasses

These are awesome finishing touches. I can’t stress this enough!

Are You An Athlete?

If you’re an athlete bring your jersey, ball, helmet, stick and varsity jacket

Musician?

If you’re a musician bring your instrument

Dogs?

Bring your dog if you want!

Shoes

Last but not least, your sneakers and boots and sandals say a lot about you and they’re so much fun (especially for girls)! 

Please, Please, Please, Please, Please!

* Wear the right bra. Bra straps are such a pain. It’s no big deal to Photoshop it out of pictures if they peek out here and there but I can’t reconstruct an entire shoulder or remove it if it’s intertwined with other straps.

* Remember that eyebrows and fingernails show up in your pictures

* Avoid tiny checks and thin striped shirts or dresses (they don’t photograph well) – instead go with big checks, plaid and flannel

* Avoid any shirts with big logos, numbers or words as one of your main shirts but feel free to wear a favorite band/concert t-shirt for a few

* Avoid neon – it is the devil

* Wear a tank or cami to make outfit changes super easy

* Don’t get sunburned the day of your session

* Pack a makeup bag for touchups if you want
