Pick a Casual Outfit
* a nicer earth tone (gray, navy, burgundy, olive) t-shirt with jeans or khakis
* plaid, checked, or flannel button downs with jeans or khakis
* thermals and henleys are also great styles that photograph well
Pick a Layered Outfit
* plaid or solid button downs with a t-shirt underneath
* sweaters with t-shirts underneath
* sweaters with plaid or flannel button downs underneath
* and definitely bring a favorite jacket to wear for a few, too
Pick a Dressy Outfit
* Dress shirt & tie
* Add a vest or jacket if you want
Accessories
Watches, Hats, and Sunglasses
If you have a favorite watch, hat or pair of sunglasses, bring them! We’ll take a couple of shots in them.
Are You An Athlete?
If you’re an athlete bring your jersey, ball, helmet, stick and varsity jacket
Musician?
If you’re a musician bring your instrument
Dogs?
Bring your dog if you want!
Cars
If you love your car, let’s take a picture with it!
Footwear
And last but not least, socks and shoes matter! They show! Don’t forget this!
Please, Please, Please, Please, Please!
* Avoid white and pastel button downs – denim and chambray are great alternatives
* Avoid any tiny checked and thin striped button downs – instead go with big checked, plaid, and flannel
* In general, avoid choosing a shirt with big logos, numbers or words as one of your main shirts — but feel free to put on a college, superhero, or favorite concert/band t-shirt for a few
* Shave if you want to look clean shaven
* Iron! I can’t take out wrinkles in Photoshop
* Use a lint brush if needed, ESPECIALLY on black varsity jackets
* Don’t get sunburned the day of your session
* Put on chapstick if your lips are chapped
