Here are some more favorites from the session:)

You all know how I love my squished up shots – they remind me of photo booths.

So happy to get this adorable shot of Erin and Aaron. They go by Er (pronounced Air) and Aaron. This is how I see Aaron in my head. I think I totally captured him in this shot:)
Loved seeing the silly side of this one. She always just hangs out with the girls and giggles and bebops around. During our session she was hilarious. Loved that.
You should see Lexi Lou ballroom dance. It’s like nothing you have ever seen. EVER. She is soooo going to be on So You Think You Can Dance one day. Mark my words right here, right now – I am going to pull this post back up in 8ish years and prove it.
Love you guys! So happy for you:)
PICTURE DAY!
I let them choose what they want to wear. We shop the night before. It’s exciting:)
Brynn didn’t disappoint with a black furry vest, hot pink shirt topped off with a black octopus necklace accented with a sprinkling of pink rhinestones.
Ellie didn’t disappoint with a simple cami under a classic gray cardigan. It is who they are and I love it. They balance each other and they balance me.
They even get to choose what color of cheesy background they want. Brynn chose amethyst (purple), Ellie chose sapphire blue.
I want to look back on their school pics and laugh. In 20 years that black furry vest picture will be hilarious.
I have also started saving the outfit they wear with hopes that I will be organized enough to hang it on a clothesline next to the picture for their graduation party. Wish me luck on that one:)
These shots also are reminding me I need to schedule an orthodontist appt. for both of them. Goodbye college funds.

Okay ready?
McKenzie first…

Now Lexi’s turn…

MOMMY AND DADDY ARE GOING TO HAVE ANOTHER BABY!!!!

I love this family. I love these girls. I love that they asked me to do this and waited a whole extra agonizing week (because of rain) to tell the girls. I love how Brooklyn takes off to play. I love how McKenzie is excited. I love how Lexi is excited, then scared, then emotional, then needs to sit on Erin’s lap. I love how McKenzie is trying to wrap her head around why mommy and Lexi would be crying – you can tell she’s a little nervous. I love how they switched parent’s laps. And that last picture….mmm…..total love in that shot. These two are fantastic parents and I am so excited for them (while secretly snickering and laughing my booty off).
More tomorrow from the session:)
I get an email from Brad titled “Jackmajesty” this morning.
We started calling Jackson, Jackmajesty, when I read that Jermaine Jackson named his son “Jermajesty”, which is really funny to me. Especially when the story was about Jermajesty chasing Blanket around the Jackson mansion with an illegally obtained stun gun. Downright hilarious.
So Brad had to leave without Jackson this morning. And I quote an excerpt from his email….”he was being exceptionally lazy, purposefully moving slowly, testing my patience because he wanted to prove that I had to wait for him”.
My smile kept getting bigger and bigger with each word because I too have had to leave him. Twice. Both times when I told Brad I could tell he thought I was being a little too harsh and psychotic.
He gets me now. The deep deep pleasure and peace I can now feel.
No child can push the buttons like this one and no child can make me laugh harder (he is getting to be REALLY funny) and feel more pride. Can be confusing at times.

And no worries. Jackson ran through the backyard and cut him off. Which has me seriously laughing out loud as I type it. He made it to school on time because Brad let him in.
This time.
