Hyatt Place Hotels – the only hotel that can accommodate our family without someone having to sleep on a super scary floor. LOVE Hyatt Places.
We just arrived there after 10ish hours in the car.
On our way to HHI:)
Raining. Hungry.
But first the reds had to partake in some bed jumping. Which turns into an Olympic sport as far as they are concerned.
And yes – my camera was bashed into my face and almost flew across the room on the last frame. Jumping ended right there.

Baseball Family!
Ian and Jackson have played on and off together for about 4 years now – maybe 3 – and Dylan – older sister – is our babysitter:) Kids love her. Like LOVE her, love her. In a couple of days I get to take her Senior pics so I figured I should hurry and put up last year’s family pics, lol.
I love to harass Rob (dad). I just can’t help it. Sometimes I wish my personality didn’t possess the harass people gene but it does and Rob makes for such a great target. He hates Costco (membership thing). He hates dogs (childhood thing). He HATES to get his hands dirty yet will eat a gourmet olive out of a bag passed down the sidelines. He makes Ian brush off and take his shoes off before getting in the car. Things like that catch my eye and I can’t be quiet about them. I have to ask then I have to harass. Bad.
Here are my favorites from their session…
A classic hilarious example of Rob. Squirrel??

THRILLED to get this shot of them. Classic. There is something that makes me smile about each person:)
One of my all time favorites ever in the history of the universe…they are relentless with Ian. They tease him, poke him, grab him, hug him. Very funny to watch. He had HAD IT by the end of the session.
I have to share this story…
During our session a loud car filled with rude teenagers passed by. One of the girls in it yelled out some profane words. Not at us – just being stupid in general as the car happened to pass us. Tracy (mom) without missing a beat said, “she obviously didn’t finish her classes at finishing school”. You had to be there but it was PERFECT. Impeccable timing. I can’t tell you how many times I have stolen that very line from her and used it:) So thank you Tracy:)
They have been with me since my film days. I started taking their pics when #5 was in her beautiful tummy – or was it #6?? Ellie and Brynn went to preschool with two of them. LOVE them. Wendi (mamma) puts me to shame. Her house is spotless. She is super safety conscious and aware (I give up and throw my hands in the air at times) and whenever you see her she always ALWAYS happily has a kid on her hip, lol. I get to the point where I don’t want to be touched or hot. I think all 6 do a sport (I complain and am exhausted with ONE) – they are all sweet, nice, well mannered, humble, funny, loving, cooperative….well sort of, lol. Ryan HAD to hold a pencil and a Bob the Builder notebook for an entire session once – but if you would hear him plead with his deep raspy voice you would give in too. I love these kids. She just scheduled yesterday for 2011 so I figure I better put 2010 up – haa – sorry Wendi!!
Look at how happy they are – look how their eyes shut when they smile – love that…

Love these two. He was apprehensive about smiling until everyone started chanting his name behind me. ADORABLE. Gosh it was cute.

Trying to get all 6 in the air at the same time is not possible – but funny. We were trying to time it up with Ian (#6) who jumped one second after they were supposed to:)
These shots make me grunt a short yet powerful “Mmmm” like I’ve just eaten something really tasty.

Had to do it …
A note to Paul (daddy): do it. Please. Please join the pics this year! PLEASE!! I have wanted you and Wendi in these shots so so so badly. Achingly bad. And Wendi I promise promise promise I won’t go in tight on your face. Everything will be from a distance and there is something called Photoshop:)
I am thick in the middle of Senior pics. Last year I didn’t get a chance to share many Seniors because of time management issues, lol. This year armed with a faster computer and a better attitude and easier kid stages I hope to stay more on top of things….
This is Benson. Original. Unique. Designed his own session. Fun to talk to and get to know. Brilliant. Quiet (with me). Fantastic sparkly smile.
He is the oldest of 3 boys raised in a home where there is constant music and different languages heard. Someone is always doing some form of art, jewelry making, print making, massive Lego building, sculpting…it’s the kind of home that you leave and think you can do better as a parent to your own kids, lol.
I adore his mamma Lori. She’s the one I seek at school assemblies and performances. She hugs. She listens. She remembers. She’s real. Whenever I bump into her or drop Ellie off to play with his younger brother it is a whoosh of talk and laughter and sometimes tears always in the foyer of our homes, lol. We talk 100mph for 5 minutes then quickly have to go and be off somewhere else. Love being with her.

He wanted me to take pics of him screenprinting his own t-shirts in his basement. Pushed my camera and every bit of my knowledge about my camera to it’s limits – haa! But so cool that he wanted to capture that.
and he runs cross country…
Good luck Benson! You should be packing for OSU, or maybe even there by now:)
