comes home everyday and tells me how TERRIBLE her day was. This girl did this, and then she said that and then he ignored her….
I listen to her, tell her to beat them all up, give her a hug and some Cool Ranch Doritos, she plops on the couch, sucks her finger, smells her blanket, watches one show then happily skips off into the neighborhood looking for some more drama.

Love that Annie hired me to come over and shoot in and around the house because they are about to put their house on the market. What a great idea. I would love pics of Brad and I with Jackson and Ellie in our first cute little Cape Cod house in Clintonville. That first home always holds a special place in your heart even though you are dying to get out.
I also love the “feel” of this session. Very lifestyle. Hardly posed. Just hanging out and having fun with the boys.
Too bad Annie’s eyes were half shut (not so pretty) in the shot after the hugs. Grayson decided he wanted to be the only one in his momma’s arms and went for his big brother’s eyes cat fight style, lol.

It was also this little bruisers first birthday – so I focused on him a lot:)

this amazing hunk of burning love had a birthday while we were in Chicago…
you don’t really know the person you are marrying. it’s such a crapshoot. i don’t think you know who you are marrying until you have kids or until you’ve lived together in 5 years. i lucked out. period. there is not a DAY that goes by that I don’t think I have won the lottery with him. the easiest man to be married to in the world. he has a spotless character. he is patient. he is kind. he truly truly understands and appreciates the job of a mother. he saves me every night when I’ve hit my 8pm brick wall and basically puts the kids to bed – my least favorite job – i’m done. i still get that rush when I hear him walk through the door. he works hard. he chews the tip of his right thumbnail when he is tired. he rubs my neck or head or shoulders almost everyday. he never complains. he hasn’t had a working radio in his car for 4ish months – doesn’t complain. he has a few flaws. can’t load a dishwasher, likes to fold laundry on the couch and then leave it there for the magic fairy, doesn’t mind David Caruso. but I also love that about him.
happy birthday Mr. Blackstone. i love you.
Spring Break is over! We had a great time in Chicago – I’ll post pics soon:)
In the meantime we hung out with the Hrinko’s over the weekend so I thought it was due time to post pics from their family session last October:) I’m terrible. I am a mom/wife/housekeeper/cook first. A photographer second. An editor/photoshopper/slideshow/ disc maker third and a blogger 4th. But I can’t tell you how much I care about this family so they need some blog respect!
I think about a half a season went by before Jodi and I sat by each other at a game and within 5 minutes I knew I loved and was going to thoroughly enjoy her. I was annoyed we didn’t find each other sooner. She is one of the people that helps feed my dirty hungry kids because I am frazzled and late. We can break it down fast and I love that. I trust her. She is quickly becoming someone I would call if I needed some help getting out of jail or moving a dead body – hahaa. Steve is the first base coach butt smacker that yells, “get here! get here! get here!” three times in a row ALWAYS. Loves his Jimmy Buffet. One of my biggest cheerleaders. And there is something about a man loving your work that makes your heart swell.

Their awesome, sweet, happy children…that sounds sarcastic but it’s not:)
