Oh how I love this family. I’ve been thinking about them a lot this past week because I know Christin is going to burst any day now. So exciting. I can’t wait to find out if it’s a boy or a girl. She is one hot pregnant mama – oh how I wish I looked like this pregnant but instead I became a member of the pachyderm family. Those are elephants and hippos right?

One of the easiest families to photograph. THEY WORK IT. Loving each other and being all over each other helps too:)

Love watching Joey grow up. He is so so sweet. Like truly sweet and kind and easy and gentle and everything my first born son isn’t, lol.

The two candid shots from the session that no one has to love but me:)
Email me when that baby pops out woman! So excited to find out what he or she is and the name!! And thank you for the watermelon mint drink you brought over. Totally scared me but was so yummy!
I love it when I get to tell a story. Jennifer hired me because she wanted to capture some last shots of their cute little family in their first house. They are moving out of state to better jobs and better schedules. One of those heavy bittersweet decisions to do what is best for your family. That takes guts. Period.

I got some magical shots with this family. Images that I am super happy with – ones that I can see BIG. And big is not 8×10 people! Big is at least 16×20:) I especially love this one …
this is nice…
Holy Christmas card (if you can’t get around to the pic in front of the tree with red eye)! Did I just say that? I’m terrible. You might be done by Christmas though because you have to send out “we’ve moved” cards. Blech. You should make it “we’ve moved – here’s our Christmas card in June because you aren’t getting anything else this year” card.
Love the feet shots…

Best dog in the UNIVERSE. Makes all other dogs look like fools. Brian would say “heel” and it would promptly sit at attention right next to his leg. It would also do the perfect perky ears look if you talked dog to him.

I’m so sad you are moving for selfish reasons. You were such a great family to photograph! I hate it that I don’t get to watch Herbie grow up:( If you are ever back in Columbus….
Remember this gorgeous family? I still have these little out of body experiences when I take shots like this – all eyes open, everyone looking, no goofy smiles, great light. It’s scary. It is why you take 400 shots a session- so that you can get this. And what is even scarier is that I get about 5 of these shots that make my knees weak and clap for joy with this family. Crazy.

Love this set of running pics. There is a kid in every family – sometimes all of them – with their tongue hanging out AND usually curled. Something I have learned as a photographer. Cracks me up.
Beautiful boys…

This one is thinking of his next question at all times. Could talk to him easily and enjoy myself for about 2 hours and then give him back. The pic on the top right is one I almost threw away twice. I don’t know why I do that. I should learn to go with my gut. I love how he’s thinking about his next question or listening to my answer. He was all yackity yackity about how old I was, how old my kids were and comparing the ages to how old everyone was in his family. He informed me I was older than his daddy:)

This one is looking for his next tree to climb or rock to jump off of. He’s also a thinker though. Last year both of his front teeth were missing, lol.

Attack the babysitter (who was awesome by the way)! After the session she headed out, drove away, hair blowin in the wind, to go hang out with friends. She’s a Senior at OSU. Imagine. Makes me have to blow out a deep breathe.
My favorite. FAVORITE. Will be up in my blog banner when I get my act together. Older brother skinned his knee during the session and was obsessing about his eensy weensy scrape like kids do. Amy go huge with this. Listen to me.
