If you live in Central Ohio and haven’t gone tubing at Mad River yet – go.
Here’s why…
No one complained, everyone could manage and Brad and I didn’t have to divide and conquer (key). It is such a beautiful and delightful thing when we find an activity that all of our kids enjoy:)
It is so nice to be entering the next chapter with Susan. We dedicated the 30’s to being in the trenches and raising our children. Now that we have entered our 40’s I can see some light and things are getting easier and I appreciate spending time with her more.than.ever.

If only there was some audio to these. Just know that Susan screams just like her mother when she is on any kind of ride (this would be considered a ride). It is a tornado siren that gets loud, then soft, then loud, then soft. And Phil (her husband) has this mafia bad boy yet endearing 9 month old giggle cackle thing going on – that makes you laugh when he laughs.period. And Mr. Blackstone laughs deep like a radio announcer, a sound I have always loved. And the kids were just howling and screaming and putting their arms out and soaring.
Best audio and visual ever.

First time the 11 of us have had our picture taken. Pitiful – but hey.
What a great way to spend a morning at Easton:)
because, I love capturing the energy, spark, spirit, fire and general crazy that only a family of 3 boys has (this I know)…
because I love freckles…
because I love shots of mommas with their babies…
because I love the shots of love that I get from stressed out parents that I force to stop and stare and slowly kiss each other:)
because I love it when I get to take the shot of the boy in the year that he caught up with his mother…..
or the boy that lost his front tooth…..
because I love it when the dad is totally on board with being a dork and jumping into the air…
and last but not least, because I love these two images – they need to be BIG….

Chinchillas scare me.
Well snow to Moose is what dust is to a chinchilla. Pure love. First he does one of those dog nose dives. Then he turns over to his back with all fours up in the air and scratches his back into it. And for the first 60 seconds I have to stand there and watch him in awe, laughing, because it is funny – then I have to walk away from the window in tears – and have a pity party for myself because snow doesn’t come out of afros. It just embeds like velcro into it.
His one imperfection. Otherwise a perfect perfect dog.
So four to ten times a day this is what I see waiting at the back door for me. Lucky me:)

This little girl…
Is now this little girl….

What a difference a year makes:)
Love chatting with Ellen’s mom Lissy. She’s on fire – breaks it down – doesn’t play – hilarious. Hates pics of herself though and she’s BEAUTIFUL.
Once upon a time we were talking (last year) and the conversation led to her working for Limited Brands (that is where my husband works also) – and I for some reason felt the need to tell her that I thought all women directors at the Limited were crazy, mental witches. Then, seconds later, I asked her what she did for the Limited and you’ll never believe what she said…..
Classic classic Cathy:) I still laugh about it today.
