When Katie called me I felt an instant connection. She gets me. All she wanted me to do was capture her family reading and playing ball in a park – a slice of their daily life. I even remember her saying ” if they cry the whole time then they cry the whole time, no big deal “. How great is that? She was so incredibly excited too which makes it even sweeter. So I pulled into their driveway and caught a glimpse of her holy hotness of a husband and then her darling little boys. I don’t know if I should write that but it’s the truth:) Her boys are 7 months, 20 months and 3. CRAZY. It is always so nice for me to take pics of people that have it harder than me, lol. I am all about perspective.
So here is how it alllll began …
Totally comfy hugging and smooching in front of a camera. Love that. Not to sound like a dork but I love taking pictures of people that still love each other. It’s so easy – and these two still have it going on!
This is Mr. Dominic. I love it when I catch kids thinking – when they forget that I’m there. The picture on the right is totally a favorite of mine.
Darling little Vince. Her sweet boy that loves to read. Sooo cute.
and Rocco. Love the name Rocco. So laid back and totally content to play with his toys.

I am so glad that I caught her in special moments with each of her boys. I didn’t mean to – it just happened because she is good about paying attention to each one of them.

This was Olivia’s two and a half year shoot. Two year olds make you work. Period. I have one. The amount of energy and gear shifts and distractions are amazing. If there was a video of Renee (mom) and I trying to wrangle her it would be HILARIOUS. Totally worth it though. She gives the best stares. Her mouth and lips and cheeks and deep eyes and perfect skin and bright blonde hair are a dream to photograph. Check her out…..

The photo on the right is one of my all time favorites ever ever ever. Ever.

At the end of the shoot – after the clothes were stripped – she decided she was going to get easy and smiley and follow me out – because that is how 2 year olds operate. This will probably be the photo I remember in my head in a year from now:) It makes me want to buy an urn too and fill it with petunias!

Meet Rhonda and her five furry children and grandma! These beauties are Shiloh Shepherds and Rhonda is a breeder. Her website is … http://www.brickchapelshilohs.com/
From left to right we have Konrad, Kilian, Fina, Delyla and Gerritt. They were so fun to hang out with and get to know. I learned so much about breeding and shilohs in general. They are very interesting. Once they were done inhaling me (when I first got there) they were done with me. They were very independent, smart, energetic dogs. I usually work with one or two dogs so experiencing a pack was very new to me. I saw first hand how they played, argued and talked to each other. Very cool. I want to take more:)
I loved his coat. It looks like someone just ran their fingers through it.
Konrad and Delyla fussing. I think they are father and daughter – and I think Delyla is about a teenager – so that makes perfect sense:)
These two made me laugh. Hard.
As I started editing and really looking and studying these dogs I fell in love with Fina. She has a really unusual. sleek Egyptian supermodel look to me – and guess what her favorite toy is?

a favorite

Loved the light coming in behind her.
I love how Rhonda is looking at Gerritt and Delyla to see if they are behaving.
Konrad is a teddy bear. I could go in close on his face all day – so I did:)
He looks like a deep voiced wise old dog talking in a movie on the right.

Huminahumina:)

I will end with another favorite:)
I took these pics before I had a blog so I haven’t gotten around to posting them – but since I have had to see them again recently I thought I would. Adam’s momma and I go way back. I met her through scrapbooking, sat with her during two baseball seasons (because her super nice darling husband was the coach), and then ended up taking Adam’s pictures – yay:) She is real, and funny, and easy, and wonderful, and genuine and I always love running into her in the produce section:) She even has two red-heads, lol.
This is her oldest Adam – who is going on to OSU to major in something engineery or chemically (i think) because he’s really smart….

a post wouldn’t be a post if i didn’t say huminahumina:)

He was on Westerville Crew. If only I was smaller and younger – I would so love that job at the front of the boat, lol!
Good Luck Adam!
