Am going to try and be diligent and blog some favorites from past sessions. I have to/want to keep my blog alive. It is still how so many people find me and I am always so happy they do. It is very very hard for me to balance blog, facebook, sessions, editing, housekeeping, emailing and mothering. I’m thinking/hoping next year will open some time because all of my kids will be in school full time and even though that thrills me and makes me want to do the biggest happy dance in the next breath it makes me so sad.
I’ve decided in order to do this I have to keep it manageable. I can’t spend hours resizing and writing. I just want to share my favorites.
This is the Sears family. They were sweet and quiet and had traveled and studied and lived in countless places around the globe. I was smarter after their session and had to google a few things:) That doesn’t happen very often, lol.

I adore this family. It is so fun to see how kids grow as a photographer. The last time I saw them they were naked little infants so imagine my surprise when I walked in on them both standing in their pack n’ play smiling at me. ADORABLE. This family has the cutest house in one of my favorite neighborhoods (literally right next to the church we got married in) with the best art on their walls. It’s move in ready for me:) You walk in and the floor creaks and the light streams through the windows and everything feels right. Good energy. They are a total team and Josh is one of the few dads that takes on the role as the singer, clapper, peek a booer maniac to get his kids to smile. Lindsay and I just sit back and watch him and laugh. It’s fantastic -and he totally gets it too. He stands right behind me and watches for his shadow, lol. Love them. Love the “feel” of these images.
First one from last year compared to this year….
And now three of my favorites from the session…

A huge shout out to all of my moms:)
Let’s face it – I have this awesome job because of you. Period.
Thank you for Googling, emailing, hiring and scheduling me.
Thank you for going out and getting everyone’s outfit down to the last detail and showing up all nice and clean and sparkly. No man could do this.
Thank you for taking risks and running, and jumping and rolling around for me.
Thank you for going past bedtimes so that we can catch the light.
Thank you for throwing all house rules out the door (like jumping on beds).
Thank you for bribing with jelly beans and donuts and ice cream afterwards:)
Feeling super proud and warm and fuzzy and honored and blessed when I look at all of these images.
Thank you for choosing me to document this crazy, mind numbing, challenging, wonderful, fulfilling job we all have:)
Mwaaah!
